Dr. Daniel Roshan MD, FACOG, FACS
Dr. Daniel Roshan is a Board-certified OB/GYN, Maternal-Fetal Medicine (high-risk OB/GYN) specialist. He is an active member of the American College of Ob-Gyn and American College of Surgeons. He was trained at Johns Hopkins hospital and is a member of Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Society, Johns Hopkins Howard Kelly Society, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, American Society for Human Genetics, Society for Gynecologic investigation, Bellevue Ob/Gyn Society and New York Obstetrics Society.
He is a founder of the Sephardic American Medical Society. He has published over 50 research abstracts and presented original research papers at many scientific societies such as: Society for Gynocological Investigation, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, American college of Ob/Gyn and American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine. He has performed or supervised over 10,000 births, 6,000 amniocenteses, and over 2,000 Chronic villus samplings. He gets referrals from all over the country for Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and actively lectures and teaches this procedure. He is also expert in recurrent pregnancy losses, Thrombophilia and pregnancy such as factor V Laiden mutation, Prot S and C deficiency, Diabetes in pregnancy, Thyroid disease in pregnancy, seizure disorders, pre-term labor and multiple pregnancies such as twins, triplets, and quadruplets. Dr. Ira Jaffe DO, FACOG:
Dr. Ira Jaffe is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in Greenwich Village. Dr. Jaffe brings his expertise in high-risk obstetrics, vaginal breech deliveries & VBAC. He has a very low c-section rate and is committed to helping women manage high-risk pregnancies resulting in a normal birth experience.
In addition to these expertise, Dr. Jaffe is specially trained in osteopathic relief of pregnancy back pain. This training is based on a model of health and healing that focuses on the whole person as opposed to one organ at a time and gives him the ability to offer effective, safe treatments for the common aches and pains that accompany pregnancy and the post partum period. He has extensive experience performing laparoscopic hysterectomies, managing ovarian masses, treating endometriosis and performing procedures that allow a woman to go home the same day of surgery and resume normal activities within 1 to 2 weeks.
Dr. John Migotsky, MD, FACOG
Dr. John Migotsky is a Board-certified OB/GYN, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He comes to ROSH Maternal-Fetal medicine with 16 years of experience. After graduating from Brown University with a degree in neuroscience, Dr. Migotsky conducted research in maternal/child health and perinatal epidemiology with the Rhode Island Department of Health. He received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Then he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. Prior to his work with ROSH, he worked in private practice in Westchester, NY and was affiliated with Greenwich Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. John Migotsky is committed to providing high-quality care to patients by listening to their concerns, addressing their needs and providing insightful remedies and recommendations. He has delivered thousands of babies including many vaginal births after Cesarean section (VBAC). His team approach encompasses gynecologic oncology, infertility and urogynecology. Danielle Hart, MSN, FNP-BC
Danielle Hart is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and proud member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Early in her professional career Danielle worked as a Registered Nurse in a high acuity internal medicine unit at Shands teaching hospital in Gainesville, FL. She has always held a passionate interest in women's health care issues and has gained many years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in both vascular and cosmetic surgery practices. Danielle places great emphasis on patient education and highly values the trusting relationships she develops with her patients. In addition to gynecology services, Danielle is pleased to offer minimally invasive cosmetic procedures for patients who desire not only to feel but also look their very best.
Danielle hails from sunny Florida where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing at the University of Florida. She enjoys spending time outdoors and is an active member of the Greensward Circle Young Professionals of Central Park Conservancy.
Elizabeth Tullius, MS, FNPC
Elizabeth Tullius, MS, FNPC is a Nationally Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is licensed to practice in the state of New York. Elizabeth has dedicated her career to the health care of women in both primary care and specialty settings.
After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Pace University in New York, and a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Oklahoma, Elizabeth received a Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Women's Health, at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Elizabeth worked as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Dallas, TX for over four years. She worked both in level one trauma centers, as well as nontrauma facilities. Through her ER experience, combined with several OB/GYN rotations, she discovered that Women's Health was her passion.
Her extensive training, experience and education make her a valuable team member at Rosh Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is dedicated to serving patients through comprehensive counseling in women’s health issues, pregnancy, annual women’s health exams, HPV vaccinations, sexually transmitted infections, management of acute and chronic vaginal infections and urinary tract infections. Elizabeth is a native of Oklahoma, and now lives in Connecticut with her two Pomeranians, Bogie and Fergie. Her personal interests include spending time with friends, cooking, reading and traveling to new places.
Shira Plonka, MS, CGC
Shira Plonka is a board certified genetic counselor and a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC); she earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. Prior to receiving her master’s, Shira received an honors degree in psychology and social work from University of Waterloo. Shira has held internships in many of New York City’s top hospitals, acquiring a broad exposure to many disciplines and specialties, including cancer and pediatric genetics.
Shira focuses on preconception and prenatal genetic counseling: carrier screening, prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing. She provides information about the risks of chromosome abnormalities, birth defects, genetic conditions, and teratogen exposure to individuals, couples or families. Shira is committed to informing patients about potential genetic risks, enabling them to make informed decisions for a current or future pregnancy in a supportive and non-directive environment. This process assists patients in making the best choices for themselves in the framework of their personal and cultural beliefs.
